28 Year old Adrian Van Anz was once described as
"The Hollywood Insiders Best Kept Secret". Maybe when he was
23, and before he and his Company, AVA Computers were
profiled in everything from Variety® to NPR® interviews. Today, it's no
secret, he is known as "The" go to guy for custom gear. Custom
anything actually, his creations range from a signature color, created
with platinum dust for a rap mogul, to a vodka cooled leather computer
system, featuring a 24kt gold bezel and built-in cigarette lighter.

It all started when Anz was a small child. Bored with the family
computer, he convinced his father to let him take it apart and paint it.
Since everything is more interesting with flames on it, Anz was
hooked. His designs improved and eventually began to catch the
eye of celebrities.

With a growning reputation based on his unique ability to make
the ordinary extraordinary, It did't take long for corporate clients
to find Anz, and when Hewlett-Packard® acquired the rights to distribute
a HP® branded iPod® in 2004, they knew who to call. In the hopes
of making a big splash, they gave Anz an unlimited budget to
create an iPod® that said "This is HP®". The iPod® was slated to
end up in the hands of P Diddy, and Anz had a challenge,
he was not to alter the size or shape of the iconic HP® logo. With
that in mind, he disassembled the iPod® completely, refinishing it
in black lacquer and hand laid white gold inlays before
tackling that most important design element. He cast the HP®
logo in Platinum, and set it with a blinding 3 karats of diamonds,
His goal was achieved, every photograph ever taken of
the iPod® would focus on one thing, that HP® logo. The iPod® went
on to be named the number 9 most fabulous item of all time,
by the VH1® show "Fabulous Life Of®"

Apple® released their own black iPod® shorlty after, but it was
decidedly less fabulous.

In addition to his obsession with design, Anz is also an avid
motorcycle racer, and an accomplished photographer whose
work has appeared in Conde Nast® publications including
Vogue®

Recently, more than one hundred thousand people signed up with
Sony® for a chance at one of three Special Edition Playstation 3®s
built by Anz. I'd tell him that it's time to park the race bike, but he's
already mentioned that his next project will be a vintage-style motorcycle
that gets 150mpg.

One thing is for sure, it's going to be shiny.
